WeChat Facebook outperform "MillwardBrown"

KEPPYUR - A survey of MillwardBrown, Tencent put on top Facebook in the category of fastest growing companies in 2014. Tencent is the company that developed the instant messaging service WeChat.

The survey also puts Tencent in the Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands. Tencent brand value, based on measurements of the survey, up 97 percent compared to 2013. In Dollars, called Tencent brand value 53.615 million U.S. dollars.

WeChat, Tencent's instant messaging products, has announced the achievement of 396 million monthly active users around the world. This figure is up from 355 million at the end of 2013.


WeChat has been aggressively marketing activities by cooperating with famous figures. For example, world soccer star Lionel Messi for WeChat campaign some time ago in Europe and South America.

In India, WeChat has collaborated with many famous Bollywood stars to promote WeChat. In some countries WeChat also has had its own local language.

Once the presence of WeChat game center, WeChat has registered 570 users who have downloaded the game in WeChat. Candy Crush Saga was brought into China through its local version WeChat.

In China, there are now 21 million taxi drivers who have made use of the application and payment of the taxi fare bookings through the app Didi DaChe in WeChat.

In Indonesia alone, WeChat users during 2013, based on data from GlobalWebIndex, grew by 1,187 percent.
